Thanks, Dick. I have a photo of the high school that we knew, but have never seen the old "three-winged" school. I wonder if anyone knows where it was located. On the same site? Elsewhere?

It was built on the same site, the old High School burned down in 1921 and the new one was built on the same site in memory of the lost soldiers in WWI. If you look closely, you can see the same retaining wall that still exists today.

Thanks. I sensed that that might be the case. The history is interesting.

Dick, the "three winged" school that burned was the grade school. The High School at that time was the building where all of us went to grade school. Yes the High School we knew was built on the site of the grade school and the old high school became our Grade School.
